Our Chipmunk Beaver Colony recently welcomed Joanne Harper 2008 Great British Wheelchair Basketball Paralympian. This was for their disability awareness badge. Joanne talked about how she ended up in wheelchair, how it affects her and why she started playing wheelchair basketball and then about going to the Olympics. Joanne brought a variety of medals souvenirs and clothing from various competitions, and showed a number of photos etc. All members had a go in Joanne’s Olympic wheelchair including the leaders. Thank you Joanne for coming. The Beavers gave Joanne a card signed by them all and flowers to show their appreciation
